Provincial DLTCs now open on weekends
This is expected to address the backlog in driver's licence and PrDPs renewals.
The Gauteng Roads and Transport Department would like to inform Gauteng motorists that Provincial Driver Learner Testing Centres (PDLTCs) and Motor Vehicle Registering Authorities (MVRAs) will be open on weekends until the end of March 2023.
According to the department this is a measure to make booking slots for renewal efficient and easily accessible to motorists.
The Provincial DLTCs include the following:
• Mabopane DLTC
• Kagiso DLTC
• Xavier Junction DLTC
• Temba DLTC
• Maponya DLTC
This is expected to address the backlog in driver’s licence and PrDPs renewals.
The MVRA will provide the following services:
• Renewals of motor vehicle licences
• Registration and licensing of motor vehicles
These departments will be open from 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
