If you’re looking for a golf day to support, look no further

The organisation is asking the community to support them by booking four-balls.

Ebenezer Psychiatric House is a licensed non-profit organisation that takes care of adults with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. The house was established in 2005 as a residential home and currently cares for 25 permanent residents and five day residents.

“Our primary aim is to help psychiatric adults diagnosed with these severe disorders to feel worthy and help them deal with their illness,” Kerry von Buddenbrock from the home explained.

“We are dependent on the government for bed subsidies to help cover the costs of our home. However, these funds often fall short. To help sustain the home, we rely on donations and assistance from the public and corporate sectors to help meet the financial obligations and keep the home open and functional.”

In an effort to raise some much-needed funds, they host a charity golf day every year. This year the event will be held at the Krugersdorp Golf Club on Friday, October 14.

The organisation is asking the community to support them by booking four-balls. Individual golfers are also welcome to enter as they will be paired up with other individuals.

Costs to enter are as follows:
• Four-ball (R3 200)
• Individual players (R800 per person)

It includes green fees, a golf cart, halfway lunch and prize-giving dinner. Great prizes are up for grabs. Funds raised from this charity event will go towards keeping Ebenezer House open and functional.
