Easter joy and love for foster children

Child Welfare South Africa Roodepoort hosts an Easter drive event.

Discovery — The Roodepoort branch of Child Welfare South Africa (CWSA) recently hosted a heartwarming celebration for children from various foster homes. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Margret Esterhuizen, the event was filled with excitement and joy.

The fun-filled activities included an egg hunt, jumping castles, face painting, colouring stations, beach balls, and noodle soccer.

The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, creating unforgettable memories.

According to Sharlotte Nthite, director of the centre, “This special day aimed to make the children feel loved and cherished, especially given the challenges they’ve faced in their lives.

“We’re deeply grateful to Margret for making this day possible.”

CWSA’s Roodepoort branch is a non-profit organisation that serves 32 areas, providing vital support to children who have experienced neglect, abuse, and abandonment.

“Their comprehensive services include foster parent screening and training, social work services, children’s court proceedings, and community programmes.
