Water and power out in parts of Witpoortjie

Water and electricity outages in Witpoortjie are being investigated.

A large swath of Witpoortjie is reportedly without electricity this morning, November 19.

Posts by residents on a community WhatsApp group indicate that the electricity went out shortly after 02:30.

According to a statement this morning by City Power, operators were alerted to the unplanned outage and have been dispatched to investigate the cause.

Reports of a water outage in the area have also since emerged.

The Roodepoort Record reached out to Johannesburg Water for more information, and a follow-up article will be published once their feedback has been received.
