Fleurhof Women’s Forum holds event for young girls

Fleurhof Women's Forum holds an event to educate young girls on menstrual cycle challenges.

On Saturday, April 1, Fleurhof Women’s Forum in collaboration with The Organisation For Young Women’s Dignity (TOFYWD) and the help of Mabel “Godmother” Phiri and Given “Coach Sparks” Mphanga, team coach of Fleurhof Future Stars Football Club held an event at the Ulandi ECD Centre.

Regarding the aim of the event, Simangele Mokgara, secretary for Fleurhof Woman’s Forum, stated, “A hundred and ten young girls of Fleurhof were invited to come to receive education on the importance of personal care the options that are available with their monthly menstrual cycle challenges and to enjoy themselves through dance and song at the event.”

According to Simangele, the chairperson of The Fleurhof Women’s Forum, Patricia Mogoje, said along with TOFYWD from May they will be having other events such as this one throughout Fleurhof.
