
This morning, May 9, an accident occurred on Beyers Naudé Drive involving a heavy motor vehicle and a light motor vehicle. According to Paul Catlett from BCI Security, who was on the scene, the accident occurred at approximately 5:45.

The light motor vehicle was believed to have collided with the back of the heavy motor vehicle when it was turning into a narrow road behind Garden World. The occupant of the vehicle luckily made it out with only mild injuries.

“The scene was being cleared at approximately 6:45 and the road is considered safe to travel on, at this point,” stated Catlett.
Along with BCI Security, Netcare 911 was also on the scene to assess the patient, as well as Help24 who assisted with towing the vehicle and ER24 sent an advanced life support medic to the scene.
