Open meeting at The Lodge Wellness Centre

The Lodge Wellness Centre offers an open NA and AA meeting on Tuesdays.

The Lodge Wellness Centre, a private rehabilitation facility is offering free meetings for those wanting to kick their drug and alcohol addiction.

According to Francois van Zyl, owner of The Lodge Wellness Centre, every Tuesday between 19:30 and 20:30 they have an open Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting; these meetings are official meetings held by Narcotics Anonymous South Africa. The meeting is open to any person from the area as well as their old patients.

Due to people’s work schedules, not everyone can attend rehab therefore the meeting can help them with their addiction. The main focus of the facility is drugs, alcohol and gambling and prescription medication addiction.

Van Zyl explained that, in the meetings, people find camaraderie with the participants, a fellowship with others who know what they are going through and these people become their second family.

“People should recover, that’s all we want, people should get one or other form of programme and recover and give a step in the right direction. If someone doesn’t show you where you are going wrong, your journey to recovery can not begin. We just try to get people clean and off drugs. We try to save people’s lives because drugs kill people,” concluded Van Zyl.
