Khwezi Foundation blesses female teachers at Jozua Naudé for Mother’s Day
In honour of Mother's Day, the Khwezi Foundation has partnered with Dis-Chem Princess Crossing to recognise the teachers at Joshua Naudé Primary School.
The women at Jozua Naudé Primary School were treated to a surprise after-school event organised by their male coworkers and Yandi Makalima from the Khwezi Foundation.
“I spoke to the principal at Jozua Naudé and she spoke very highly of the staff working under her. I asked her what do they need? What can we give them to show our appreciation?” elaborated Makalima.

She explained that Khwezi Foundation was established in 2014 because of her love for literacy and her dream to bring back the culture of reading and reading with meaning.

“We have partnered with Dis-Chem Princess Crossing to honour the teachers at Joshua Naudé Primary School in celebration of Mother’s Day. We were told that these teachers go beyond their call of duty and take on the role of mother as well without expecting anything in return,” added Makalima.

Principal Malwandle Ntshikilana exclaimed that she is blessed to serve the school with educators that have such commitment, passion, and love for not only education but for children and their well-being.

“I am always in awe when I see our staff and how they interact with the kids with such care and empathy and this is our way of appreciating and honouring them,” added Malwandle.

The female teachers each received a scarf from the school and the School Management Team received care packages from Dis-Chem including full body massages and facials.

After some delicious snacks and speeches from Yandi, Malwandle, and the male teachers, the day ended on a very positive note.
