Wings of Inspiration spread hope with food parcels
Wings of Inspiration help ease the hunger of families in need.
Wings of Inspiration Care Centre did their part in helping those in need when members of their recovery centre recently handed out food parcels.
Gerda Bekker, general manager for Wings of Inspiration explained, “In the line of work we do we have seen an increase in people struggling to make ends meet, for their families. With the help of the community, we can make days like this happen, to go through and help a few families to ease the burden of where the next meal will come from. We also like to take people in our care with us to show them how it’s possible to help others and hopefully plant the seed of giving back to the community, one person at a time.”
She added that they hoped by impacting the lives of one family for at least a day, they can spread their motto of living by faith and not sight and the reassurance that God will provide.
She continued by saying if they can get the support they need, they would want to reach out to more communities.
“Wings of Inspiration is a care centre that helps underprivileged areas, has a soup kitchen, cares for the elderly, frail, women and children, rescues dogs and has a rehabilitation centre for substance abuse. If anyone feels passionate about assisting in any of these areas, contact us for more information,” Gerda concluded.
