City Power announces 8-hour planned power interruption in Region C
Residents serviced by the Christiaan de Wet Road Substation to brace for a day without electricity on Wednesday.
A public announcement was issued by City Power informing its customers of a planned power interruption at the Christiaan de Wet Substation.
The planned power interruption is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19.
According to the entity, the interruption will take place from 8:00 to 16:00 and will affect the following suburbs:
Honeydew Ridge
Wilgeheuwel
Allen’s Nek
Radiokop
Weltevreden Park
Laser Park
Struben’s Valley
Honeydew
Honeydew Manor
Floracliffe
Zandspruit
Constantia Kloof
Kimbult
“The interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network which is part of our programme of constantly striving to provide a better service. As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to always treat their electricity supply points as live,” Isaac Mangena, City Power spokesperson, explained.
The announcement ended with City Power stating that it regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by this interruption.
