Local resident asks for the community’s help to start his initiative

In order to help mothers, a Newlands resident is in need of donations for his initiative.

Jean Pierre du Plessis is reaching out to the community to help mothers in need.

This is after his best friend’s girlfriend requested his assistance since her friend is expecting a child she did not plan for and is suffering.

He then realised there are many women in the same position, struggling to care for their babies, therefore he decided to start an initiative to help them. He adds growing up they struggled and his father had to collect scrap metal to care for them.

“So I thought let me do this and maybe I will be able to make a difference,” he said.

He asks any person willing to donate clothes or food for babies to contact him on 065 286 0403.
