Young entrepreneur gives back to his community
His workshop aims to offer a platform where students can benefit from his teachings.
Rudolf Mokoto is a 22-year-old student at the South West Gauteng TVET College and an entrepreneur with the aspirations of sharing his knowledge and skillset with the youth.
The engineering student, who wants to extend his carpentry and entrepreneurial endeavours to the younger generation, said that his journey started in 2020 when he took a gap year. After completing his matric, he met Andrew, a carpenter, who mentored him in how to construct ceilings, wardrobes, and cupboards.

His ambitious spirit led him to establish a business called Black Jubilation, which started in 2019 along with his partner Emkay Mahasha and they brand items ranging from T-shirts, hoodies, and sweaters to track pants, bucket hats and bags.
He currently owns a workshop that offers a platform where students can benefit from his teachings as he says that not everyone is destined to reach success through education as some are gifted through working with their hands.
Mokoto cited that he aspires to establish another youth-centered workshop that will focus on equipping them with skills ‘to get them off the streets’ and mentioned that people can reach him on Facebook by searching Black J or on WhatsApp on 071 583 6661.
