Local church blesses Ruimsig with prayer

The FullFlame Life Church held a prayer walk where they prayed for – and with – residents of Ruimsig.

The FullFlame Life Church took their message to the streets on Saturday, June 29.

Congregants met at the church in Peter Road on Saturday morning and after enjoying a nice warm beverage, they set off on their journey through the streets of Ruimsig, wielding banners and stopping at strategic places to say a prayer.

According to the church community outreach co-ordinator, Thasto Phiri, it was heartwarming to see the support received from the local community and passing motorists.

The FullFlame Life Church prayer walk was well attended and warmly welcomed by the community.

“So many people waved at us, some hooted, and some even stopped and joined us in prayer,” says Phiri. “It was wonderful to see.”

Phiri says the church is committed to seeing change brought on in the local community through the power of prayer.

“We care deeply about our city and the people that inhabit it, and we have a good message to spread,” he concludes.
