Local police officer honoured

Florida police’s Lieutenant Colonel Sipho Dlamini was awarded a medal for long service and loyalty at a prestigious ceremony in Norwood on October 24.

Dlamini, who has been working at Florida Police Station for the past seven years, has been a police officer for nearly two decades, spending a significant part of his career in the Crime Scene Management Unit.

“I am extremely honoured to receive this medal,” says Dlamini, adding that he aims to have a long and fruitful career in the police service.
