Spreading joy and kindness: Witpoortjie’s Christmas Drive a huge success

The community came together to bring festive cheer to young children and their mothers.

The Witpoortjie Emergencies Crime Prevention volunteer unit spread festive cheer and brought smiles to the faces of young children and their mothers during their second annual Christmas Drive.

According to Brendon Kincaid, the event’s success was a testament to the community’s spirit.

“It was amazing to see community members and businesses come together to make this day possible,” he said.

The idea behind the event was to bring joy to children who might otherwise go without gifts during the holiday season.

“We wanted to make a difference and show love to our community members,” Kincaid explained. “Every child deserves to be happy, regardless of their financial background.”

The event received overwhelming support from local security companies, including Roodepoort police, Help24 Secure, and ADT, among others.

The companies joined forces with the volunteer unit to create a festive convoy that delighted the children.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support we received from our partners and local businesses, such as Pick n Pay Witpoortjie and Multi Save,” Brendon added.

The Christmas drive was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and the impact that can be made when people come together to spread joy and kindness.
