Family fun at donkey sanctuary market

On Saturday, June 28, the Rest Ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary hosted a market, attracting many families, animal lovers, and local entrepreneurs.

The sanctuary, founded in 2018 by Albert and Lloreen le Roux, is a special place that helps donkeys in need. They rescue donkeys that have been hurt or neglected and give them a safe home.

The market featured stalls selling many different locally produced goods, from handmade crafts, scented candles, body care items, jewellery, and homemade jams, to fresh farm milk.

The market also offers kid–friendly rides (not donkey rides) where children can enjoy a train or chair swing ride.

The marketgoers were kept entertained by the live music that filled the atmosphere, and many guests revealed that being at the market provided them with spiritual relief and enjoyment.

People who would like to adopt a donkey also participated in conversations, finding out about the stories of different donkeys and the process involved.
