Truck crash at Christiaan de Wet intersection causes major delays

A truck crashed at the intersection of Wilgerood and Christiaan de Wet Road this afternoon, July 23, causing significant traffic disruptions.

According to Siyabonga Ndlovu, the truck driver, the vehicle lost air pressure in the brakes while descending Wilgerood. After briefly stopping at the traffic lights, the brakes failed again, and the truck rolled into Christiaan de Wet Road, coming to a stop facing oncoming traffic. A municipal dustbin was damaged in the process.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and JMPD was on the scene managing traffic.
