Laerskool Florida’s marketing manager, Melissa Kruger, is stepping into a new role – this time, as an actress and a performer.

She will portray Ruth in the upcoming theatre production of Ruth: The Musical, which runs at the AfriForum Theatre from September 12 to 21.

The show was written by Jean-Minique White, Polyda van Niekerk and Ferdinand Gernandt, and it is a vibrant gospel infused musical where the past meets the present.

Although this is Melissa’s first professional theatre performance, she is no stranger to the stage. With years of worship-leading experience, she brings a genuine and heartfelt presence to her role, embodying Ruth’s journey of love, loyalty, and faith.

“Ruth’s story has challenged and inspired me personally,” Melissa said. “This has been more than acting – it’s been a spiritual journey.”
