Two vehicles collide on Doreen Road

No injuries were reported following the crash.

A two-vehicle collision on Doreen Road, just after Toermalyn Avenue, was cleared earlier today, February 11, following a crash involving a car towing a trailer.

According to the driver of the vehicle towing the trailer, Takalani Simone Mphephu, he was travelling downhill when a second vehicle travelling uphill allegedly lost control. The uphill-moving vehicle collided with the trailer, causing Mphephu to lose control and resulting in the crash.

Mphephu said he had recently purchased the trailer and was on his way home at the time of the incident.

The other vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene. JMPD officers and private security responded and managed traffic while the incident was being handled.

The scene has since been cleared, and traffic is flowing normally.
