KJK’s Harm bags bronze at Region 5 Youth Games

‘I am extremely proud of him’

 

Harm Venter, a judoka at the KJK Judo Club, competed in the recent Africa Union Sport Council Region 5 U/20 games, and did very well.

The Games took place in Botswana during December, and Harm competed against athletes from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland. He managed to bring home a bronze medal.

Sensei Katja Bruwer said that she was very proud of Harm’s achievements at the Games.

She added that judo is a sport that is taught to boys, girls, men and women of all ages and said, “At the club, judo is taught on all levels, ranging from school and recreational level, to provincial and national level. For more information, send an email to katjajudo@iburst.co.za.”
