The Honeydew Equestrian Centre hosted their Dressage Training Show on Sunday, October 30.
This was the perfect opportunity for young riders to come out and see what its like participating in a Dressage show for the first time.

Dressage is the art of riding and training a horse in a manner that develops obedience, flexibility, and balance.
The children dressed up in different outfits ranging from Powerpuff girls, Harry Potter Wizards and even knights. The riders only had to make sure that their horses were clean and presentable because this was a training show and they weren’t required to dress up in full formal dressage attire.

The day started out with the little ones taking to the ring and ended with the older riders showing the judges what they can do. Riders from all over the West Rand attended the show, with their families on the sidelines cheering them on.
This was a beautiful show of fine movement, control and discipline.
