Esmeralda Badminton Club to hold three two-hour holiday sessions during school break

Esmeralda Badminton Club will be hosting three open clinics for high school learners during the July holidays. Badminton is a fast-paced racket sport played in either singles or doubles and is a great sport to keep fit and make new friends. Rumoured to be named after the stately home of English nobility, Badminton references the residence of the Duke of Beaufort in Gloucestershire.

Based at the Witpoortjie Recreation Centre, Esmeralda Badminton Club has been keeping the sport going in the region for 40 years. The sessions will be held at the centre on June 27, July 4 and July between 09:00 and 11:00 on all three days.

Attendees need only bring sneakers or running shoes and comfortable clothing as all equipment will be supplied. Bookings are essential and can be made with Magda via WhatsApp on 066 219 9597. Slots are limited so book your seat now.
