Boskop Primary rugby players excel in tournament
Andani Matoro and Wandile Mthombeni from Boskop Primary represented the Golden Lions Rugby Union during the June/ July school holidays and made their school proud.
Two Boskop Primary rugby players competed in various National Provincial Rugby Week Tournaments during the June/ July school holidays.
The boys represented the Golden Lions Rugby Union in the U12 and U13 teams during the tournaments.

According to their coach, Anton Oosthuizen, the two young men Andani Matoro and Wandile Mthombeni were at the top of their game during the tournaments, with Wandile scoring twice in his first match against the Griffons and again against the NW Platteland. He was ultimately crowned VKB National Championship beating the Leopards 3–0 in the final.

“Andani showed great tenacity in the front row going up against some big boys from the Sharks, Leopards and Valke,” explained Oosthuizen, “We at Boskop are extremely proud of these two young men and can’t wait to see them run out in the green and gold of the Springboks one day.”
