Young archer has her sights set on gold

Poortview learner training hard to become the best archer she can be.

Grade Six learner Casey-Lee Adams from The King’s School West Rand won a silver medal during the Robin’s Bullseye Challenge archery competition at Raslouw Private School in Pretoria earlier this year.

Casey-Lee is part of the Club Inyathi Archery Club in Randfontein. She joined the club at the beginning of January and participated in her first competition on March 11 at Hoƫrskool Riebeeckrand, Randfontein, where she came third in the Female Juniors Archery with 230/300 and won a bronze medal.

She shortly joined the RAMKat Team from Randfontein Primary School although she still shoots individually as well representing The Kings School West Rand.

Her team practices twice a week and has competitions scheduled for almost every Saturday across Gauteng and other provinces and can also be selected for overseas competitions in USA and Canada.
