Three Trinityhouse Little Falls equestrian riders proudly represented Johannesburg Central at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) Gauteng High School Finals, held at Kyalami Park Club on July 18 and 19.

The learners qualified for the provincial competition after strong performances throughout the SANESA season, earning the opportunity to compete against some of Gauteng’s top school riders across a range of equestrian disciplines.

Leano Sennanye, riding Fred, finished 13th in Prix Caprilli Test 3 (Level 1) and 17th in Prix Caprilli Test 4 (Level 1).

With a great all-around performance, Tyra Naidoo, riding Lord Nelson, finished third in In-Hand Utility (Level 1); sixth in Prix Caprilli Test 3 (Level 3, Novice); ninth in Prix Caprilli Test 4 (Level 3, Novice); eighth in Working Riding (Level 3); and 29th in Show Jumping (Level 1, 60 cm).

Mikayla Walls, who was riding Gummy-Berry, also achieved outstanding results, placing third in equitation (Level 3), fifth in in-hand utility (Level 2), sixth in Dressage Test 2 (Level 1, Prelim), sixth in Dressage Test 3 (Level 1, Prelim), and 11th in working riding (Level 3).

The school commended the learners’ dedication throughout the season and congratulated them on their performances, expressing that representing Johannesburg Central at the finals is a significant achievement and reflects the commitment shown by riders, their coaches, and support teams.

The three riders are still awaiting word on whether their performance will qualify them to represent Gauteng at the SANESA National Championships in September. As the riders look ahead to the next round of competition, the school wishes them all the best of luck.
