Act One celebrates art with wine and cupcakes

Act One, in partnership with contemporary fine art gallery and art consultants, Lizamore & Associates, will host a delightful afternoon to celebrate the arts amongst friends and family with great wine and cupcakes – to tantalise all senses.

Everyone, from influencers, art lovers, musicians, wine enthusiasts, married couples, female friends, to mothers and daughters is invited to marvel at portraits by Dion Cupido, Bastiaan van Stenis and Hannelie Coetzee.

Dion Cupido, a largely self-taught artist who started out doing graffiti on walls in the Cape flats, has grown into resepected abstraction and potratiure artist. Cupido’s work is deeply influenced by street art and explores memory and identity.

Bastiaan van Stenis, a descendant of the renowned 19th Century English painter John Thomas Baines, uses colour and texter in a unique way, providing audiences with a reflexive view of the world. He continues to bend audience’s minds and exhibits the contradictions in everyday life – work that calls on the beauty of inexplicable existential questions.

Hannelie Coetzee, a contemporary African artist, uses art to participate in life, solve problems, connect people and ignite dialogues. Coetzee’s projects, installations, art objects and partnerships attempt to actively create changes within communities and ecosystems. She uses natural materials, and industrial waste to build site-specific ecological interventions. Her work specifically aims to integrate ecology and art to inspire responsiveness for and engagement with nature.
