Preparations for Garden Fun Day at Parkview Junior School

Parkview Junior School will be celebrating their fifth Spring Garden Fun Day on 8 September. Tickets are R40 for adults and R20 for kids and will be available from the school at the end of August.

The Garden Fun Day is a wholesome, fun-filled family day offering loads of activities to entertain the whole family. There will be a selection of hand-craft vendor stalls to browse through, while the little ones are kept busy with crafts, activities and rides.

There will also be a variety of plants for sale, including seedlings, indigenous and rare plants, all at competitive prices.

The school will be raising funds for various school projects including starting their own garden club.

In between shopping and all the fun, one can grab a bite to eat from the school’s Gourmet Garden or stop for a spot of tea from the Tea Garden.

The kids will also enjoy a super fun Spring Hat competition with marvellous prizes and there are a vast range of artists to keep everyone entertained throughout the day, from school choirs, Parktown Girls Marimba Band, The Joburg Youth Jazz Ensemble and talented artist and musician Ayanda
Nhlangothi.
