KILLARNEY – As Valentine's Day approaches, we decided to find out whether it's an occasion that appeals to the masses at large or something not for everyone. Find out here.
LIEZLE VAN DER WESTHUIZEN: We don't celebrate it; every day is Valentine's Day. My husband, on the other hand, believes that it's just a way of making money for other people.
In the run up to the celebration of the month of love and Valentine’s Day in February, Rosebank Killarney Gazette asked residents how they thought of spending the occasion. This what they had to say…
KERISHNA MAHADEA: I’m not planning to really celebrate because I think it’s something that shouldn’t be done on one day only. I think you can make any day special all year round.EDWARD LUHALIMA: I’m planning to go out with my girlfriend and we’ll go to where we go every year on a date – to The Zone in Rosebank.BARRY BROOKE-NORRIS: I don’t since I have no relationship or partner that I can celebrate it with. Not at the moment at least, but I guess if I did I would.IBRAHIM JASSAT: Due to religious reasons, I won’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day. I also believe that Valentine’s Day should be celebrated every day.
