Bogus prophet in hot water
KILLARNEY - A bogus prophet accused of putting up illegal outdoor advertisements full of promises to cure all kinds of diseases could be taken to court.
Property developer, Pam Golding is understood to be in the process of filing a legal case against the prophet identified as uMoyo for damaging its properties.
The realty company’s intention was made known at a residents’ association meeting in Killarney, where residents raised their concerns about the illegal practice of placing adverts in public spaces.
uMoyo has been fingered as being behind the sticker-adverts plastered on power stations and other public spaces in Killarney and Riviera.
The Metro police have repeatedly spoken against the practice, denouncing it for being against the bylaws.
Residents were urged to remove the illegal advertisements using benzene to loosen the glue.
