The visit by the Rocking Future Career Expo to Parktown High School for Girls gave students a look at possible tertiary education possibilities, giving them a look at their possible futures.
Learners at Parktown High School for Girls were given an opportunity to explore future career paths when the Rocking Future Career Expo paid the school a visit.
The expo is part of the 2026 Rocking Future Career Expos Roadshow, with the intention of motivating, educating, and inspiring high school learners across South Africa by making them aware of different tertiary institutions and career paths.
A number of institutions interacted with learners, providing information about courses, possible career fields, and application processes.

Lwandile Tsotsi, a representative of South African College of Applied Psychology, said the institution wanted to introduce learners to courses that focus on applied psychology and social sciences.
“We are here to introduce them to our institution and the different programmes we offer.”

Parktown High School for Girls teacher Vuyelwa Mtshazo stated that the expo was important to the learners because it offered them opportunities beyond public tertiary institutions.
“The Rocking Future Expo has a positive influence on our girls because it gives them an opportunity to be made aware of other tertiary institutions and what is out there.”
She added that most learners found the experience helpful, especially those who were uncertain about their future study plans.

She added that many of the institutions had elements of entrepreneurship, which she felt was important, considering the country’s unemployment rate.
