Jewish Women’s Society launches recipe book
WAVERLEY - The Jewish Women's Benevolent Society will publish a new recipe book, L'CHAIM.

Endorsed by Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein, the recipe book illustrates how Shabbos, the Jewish Sabbath, provides a vital opportunity for Jewish people to connect with each other and enjoy delicious food.
Dedicated to a stalwart of the society, Vera Davimes, the book has been compiled by her granddaughter, Sherri Hanson, and her friend Nicki Toys. The book contains tried and tested recipes, each of which can only enhance the experience of the Sabbath, a time of togetherness and celebration.
The society has played a pivotal role in the lives of many people since its inception 120 years ago and hopes that the book would make a substantial contribution towards further assisting those in need, as well as provide wonderful recipes for the Sabbath and other special occasions.
L’CHAIM is will be launched on 7 August at the Waverley Shul Hall at 8:30am.
