Charity night with Umoja
HOUGHTON - With women's month nearing its end, the Royal Woman & Pride annual charity event is set to give back in style at the Victory Theatre.
Together with African Umoja, other organisations and, Mrs South Africa finalist and brand ambassador, Tebogo Shafer the fundraising event will be held on 30 and 31 August.
The event would be about celebrating women’s month, raising funds for various beneficiaries, promoting/giving exposure to various businesses and talented individuals, volunteers, adults, teenagers, and children.
The celebrations would include a gala dinner on the first day, including a fashion show and motivational speakers. The festive mood would continue on 31 August with entertainment from various artists supporting the event, poetry and dancing.
Both nights will also have performances of Umoja.
This year’s event will benefit both the Cancer Association of South Africa and The Children of Fire.
Residents are encouraged to bring blankets, shoes, clothing to support Children of Fire. Business are also allowed to exhibit at the event.
