PARKTOWN – Police have opened an inquest docket after a 60-year-old man fell from a block of flats on 2 October.
Hillbrow police spokesperson Constable Mduduzi Zondo said the deceased was a maintenance manager at the flats known as Juliana Court, situated on the corner Princess Place and Queens Road.
He accidentally fell from the fourth floor while in the company of the plumbers and was certified dead on the scene.
Police said the man was showing the plumbers some defects in the building which they were there to fix.
The managers of the flat reserved comment about the incident.
Zondo said an investigation was underway.
