Manhunt for murder suspects

Yeoville police are on the manhunt for murder suspects following an incident whereby a man was gunned down in front of his flat.

According to police the victim was returning from a nearby shop when he was shot dead in the entrance of a flat on Webb Street. Police spokesperson Constable Thabo Malatji said, “The deceased sustained four gunshot wounds to his upper body and was certified dead on the scene.”

Malatji stated that no one had been arrested yet and the motive for the murder was not known. He said, “At the moment we don’t know the reason behind the murder but we cannot rule out robbery as the victim was coming from the shop.”

Malatji added, “We are requesting anyone one with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact Yeoville police.”
