How to enjoy New Year’s Eve

New Year's Eve can be a fantastic opportunity to spend time with the family at home, bond with friends or even total strangers in a night club.

2013 was quite a ride, some had a fantastic time while others could have had better times. Here are a few ideas on making the most of the last day of the year.

1. Cook up a storm

We all love good food and this is an opportunity to spend quality time with friends or family indoors before you wave goodbye to 2013, considering that going out on New Year’s Eve may be more expensive, this is a good excuse to splurge a little.

2. Have a house party

Invite your friends, neighbours and colleagues over to your house for a countdown party. Ensure responsible drinking and be considerate if you play loud music. Have enough supplies to make the occasion exciting, noisemakers, confetti, and funny hats.

3. Watch movies

If you’re not a very social character, you might have hours of videos. Spend the last evening of the year watching a nice movie. Don’t forget the popcorn!

4. Party 2013 away

Night clubs are packed with people who are looking to have a good time, why not join them. If you never hit the dance floor in 2013, now is your chance to do so. Some folks go to bars to drink their sorrows away, if 2013 was that bad at least end the year with a band in a night club.

5. Give someone a kiss

When the clock strikes midnight, give your partner a kiss.
