Squatter causes discomfort
BRAMLEY – A Local business owner has voiced concern over a squatter who sleeps next to an electric sub-station in Bramley.

The homeless man, who is believed to be in his late 50s, lives on the intersection of Johannesburg and Lindhurst roads.
Although the vagrant does not harass customers a local businesswoman said, “He’s a security risk and makes us uncomfortable. He leaves in the morning around 10am, rolls his blankets and clothes into a bundle and returns later in the day.”
The man has allegedly been living there for about 6 months. He wears “a long brown jacket, has very thick hair and his very thin,” she said. “He urinates and does his ‘business’ there too. I think that is a major health hazard because that area is filthy.”
Attempts have been made to get the man to a shelter, “I think there needs to be a home for him and I’ve called a security company, the police and went as far as calling an ambulance. Unfortunately they can’t remove him unless he is prepared to go and he seems quite happy to be living there,” she said.
It is unclear what activities the vagrant gets up to during the day or whether his mental state is still intact or not.
