Shot De La Salle father dies

VICTORY PARK -The father shot outside De La Salle Holy Cross College in Victory Park on 27 February has died.

This after the parent of a child attending the school was shot on the corners of 11th and 13th streets.

According to Linden police spokesperson Carol Mulamo the 53-year-old man was shot in his car while waiting for his child to come out.

On the Thursday, Mulamo confirmed that Derek Woods, 53, was shot three times in his upper and lower body.

“The suspects then fled with R40 000 that the victim had withdrawn from the bank minutes before,” she said.

“At the moment, thanks to a reliable eye witnesses who can identify the men, we are looking for three suspects.”

The police appeal to anyone else with information regarding the shooting outside the school to come forward with information.
