Two men were arrested and charged with the attempted theft of a motor vehicle on 10th Street in Parkhurst on 21 March.
According to Parkview police spokesperson Princess Mudau, on the night, the owner of the vehicle had parked his car in the street at 8.15pm with all doors and windows locked.
“Cortac security was patrolling the area when they noticed two men trying to steal the car,” said Mudau.
“When the owner of the motor vehicle went outside minutes later, he was notified by the security company that the men were trying to steal his car and the men had been apprehended.”
The men are being held at the Parkview Police Station pending their court hearing.
