Storm Fest hits Africa
Linksfield Primary School played host to one of the biggest music festivals to be held at a Johannesburg school.
The festival was hosted by Storm Fest SA in a bid to raise funds for the school’s projects, and according to the company’s Robby Harrison, the event was a great success. “The turnout was great, all performances were amazing, and the patrons loved each and everyone of them, so we are happy that we were able to provide entertainment – not only for the pupils, but for their parents and the greater community while raising money for the school,” he said.
One of the artists to perform at the festival was the school’s alumnus, 15-year-old Storm In Africa who now attends school at KES.
Harrison revealed that another music festival was on the cards for the month of September.
“We are working around the clock with the planning and organisation of yet another festival. We will be hosting this at Bryanston High School and we have lined up great South African artists including BlackByrd,” explained Harrison.
He said although the exact dates were not confirmed yet, people could look forward to listening to good music and having great fun on the day.
