Bramley Primary left damaged by thieves

Thieves have caused damage to Bramley Primary School and made off with valuables including printers and computers.

The crime took place at the school on 25 June and according to Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley police, the thieves managed to gain entry into the school despite the security measures in place.

“The complainant arrived at the school in the morning and noticed that the gate had been opened and the alarm system had been tampered with,” he said.

The complainant proceeded to the office of the headmaster, and found the roof panel had been ripped off to gain entry into the offices.

The suspects made off with valuable items which included five Samsung computers, printers and a big screen television, among others items.

The combined cost of the damages and theft total is estimated at R370 000. The police are still investigating the matter.
