Run with the rollercoasters

JOBURG - Who wants to just run when you can explore as well?

This September, Turbovite Jump City is offering the ultimate challenge to runners with a love for adventure, by offering runners the opportunity to explore Gold Reef City, the Apartheid Museum and bits of Johannesburg’s South on the ultimate urban obstacle course.

On 23 September, Gold Reef City will be packed after-hours with obstacles built to challenge even the fittest of runners.

The aim of Turbovite Jump City is to turn the city into the ultimate playground for fitness and fun.

On the evening of the race, town square at Gold Reef City will feature a live music concert for participants – and yes there will be booze on sale.

The event is capped at 1 000 participants and expected to sell out soon.

For added encouragement, thrill-seekers can look forward to running inside the famed Log Ride at Gold Reef City and the River Rapids.
