Police warn of possible new crime trend
Bramley police have urged members of the community to be careful who they let into their properties.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the warning comes after three men robbed a home in Bramley Park.
He said the men wore overalls and drove a white bakkie fitted with a red construction light. “We need residents to be more cautious as these men impersonate handymen and construction workers and they will come to your gate and claim to have been sent to do some work in your yard or to fix the pool. They will say anything to gain access to your home. Do not fall for it and let them in,” said Maphakela.
He added that the crime took place on 3 September around 10.30am and police investigations were underway.
