R50 000 reward offered for crime information

WAVERLEY - Community Active Protection (CAP) in partnership with the community has put up R50 000 reward for someone who can give the information that can lead to the arrest and conviction of two suspects in connection with a house robbery in Waverley.

The offer was in partnership with security company, Community Active Protection (CAP).

According to police on 2 July this year, the two suspects, both armed with firearms, gained access to the house after they derailed the main gate.

Norwood police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane said, “The suspects then entered the main house and held up the domestic worker and homeowner at gunpoint.”

The security company’s spokesperson, Gila Klatzkin, said the suspects took items from the house to the value of R10 000.

Klatzkin said, “The suspects fled the scene in a white Opel Corsa.” She added that there was a delay in publishing photographs of the suspects because the security company had to get permission from the police.

She said, “Anyone with information regarding this case can contact the police or the protection services.”

However, Klatzkin could not commit to any additional rewards to other crimes reported.
