Take your kiddies to the theatre
EMMERENTIA - Parents are invited to bring their little ones to the Kinder Theatre in Emmerentia during the month of November.
The theatre hosts a variety of shows that last up to 45 minutes each and are suitable for children aged 3 years and older.
The theatre’s November programme is as follows:
- A marionette and hand puppet show by Machteld van Nieuwkerk, Jurassic Garden will be held on 15 November at 10am. The act is a must for all Dino fans.
- Two shows will be on stage on 18 November including Darin the magician and Pirates and Mermaids. The latter begins at 10am and is suitable for girls and boys, while Darin the magician will be on at 3.30pm.
- On 22 November, it will be the last chance, this year, for children to catch the act, My house is too small. The show begins at 10am and promises to deliver wonderful talent.
- Two Goldfish in a pond will share their adventure with the audience in Fred and Fiona on 25 November. The show is a fantastic shadow theatre performance written and directed by Ruth Kellow, and performed by four students from the National School of Arts. The show begins at 3.30pm.
- Puppet show, Magic Ball performed by Margret Auerbach, will feature on 29 November at 10am. The show highlights a theme of kindness and ubuntu and promises plenty of drama. Children will get the chance to meet Gogo Thembi, the guardian of the forest, as she tries to deal with a naughty monkey who is causing trouble. The play is suitable for children 4 years and older.
