St. John’s College Matric Results 2014

ROSEBANK - St John’s College is proud of the excellent results achieved by its class of 2014.

 

 

St John’s College is proud of the excellent results achieved by its class of 2014 and extends its congratulations to all the matric pupils who achieved a 100 percent pass rate and a 97.8 percent University Degree pass rate.

A total of 329 subject distinctions were achieved and 31 matriculants achieved an average of over 80 percent and a further 32 pupils achieved an average of over 75 percent.

Four pupils were placed in the overall top 5 percent of the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matriculants and achieved distinctions in five or more subjects with over 80 percent for life orientation. They were Daniel Erasmus with 11 distinctions and an overall average of 91.7 percent; Aashish Diayar with 9 distinctions and an overall average of 90 percent; Robert Brinkman with 8 distinctions and an overall average of 90.57 percent; and Carl Beekhuizen with 6 distinctions.

A total of 15 pupils achieved high distinctions in various subjects and ranked in the top one percent of IEB for those subjects.

The retiring headmaster, Roger Cameron, was delighted with, and proud of, the achievements of all St. John’s College matriculants and extended his congratulations to all pupils in South Africa who have passed their 2014 matric exams.

He further congratulated the IEB on their 98.38 percent national pass rate.

Cameron paid tribute to the professionalism and dedication of the St John’s College staff who have enabled so many St John’s boys to attain high results in this year’s exams.
