Jabula recreational centre hosts Community Active Patrol training
JOBURG - JABULA Recreational Centre, located at the corner of Anne and Athlone avenues in Sandringham, participates in a number of community-based initiatives.
They host the training of Community Active Patrol, Narcotics Anonymous and a variation of other activities offered to the public.
Jabula offers adult, senior and children’s activities at a secure location with friendly staff members in order to cater for the community’s needs for extramural events and programmes.
The recreational centre’s adult activities are advanced adult art, belly dancing, bridge tuition and supervised calligraphy and Sumi E, domestic machine knitting, domestic sewing, fabric painting, fundango spanish dancing, karate, Krav Maga, line dancing, modern dancing (hip-hop and tap), Nia dancing, overeaters anonymous, Rand Piscatorial Association, silver Jewellery, slimnastics, Spanish dancing, table tennis, Taekwon Do, Tai Chi, Toukido, Weighless and Yoga.
The recreational centre’s children’s activities are ballet, kids’ art classes, Clamber Club, drama, Fundango Spanish dancing, modern dance (hip-hop and tap dance), karate, Krav Maga and Taekwon Do.
The recreational centre’s senior activities are the Bingo Club and Kaluki, while its community services include Narcotics Anonymous.
The recreational centre’s miscellaneous activities are picture framing, a psychologist is offered and a psychometrist (educational assessment) is offered.
