UPDATE: On 21 August at around 11 am a new born baby was found dumped next to a dustbin.
Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo from Hillbrow police station has confirmed that the incident occurred on the corners of Quartz and Rockers street.
Zondo said, “The baby was found wrapped in a t-shirt.” It is unknown who left the new born on the street.
INITIAL REPORT: It has been reported that a newborn baby was found dumped in Hillbrow earlier today.
According to a tweet by Crime Air Network, the baby was found at Blaauwberg Alley and Quartz Street in Hillbrow.
