UPDATE: Thousands gather demanding #ZumaMustFall

JOBURG - A group of protesters is gathering at the Nelson Mandela Bridge in the Joburg CBD in solidarity with the #ZumaMustFall campaign today.

UPDATE: 16 December 11.35am

Thousands of people have gathered at Nelson Mandela Bridge demanding that President Jacob Zuma must fall.

The march has stretched from the bridge to Carr Street, with thousands of people still joining.

The group can be heard singing loudly, chanting ‘Zuma Must Fall’. They are gathering at a stage area to listen to a speech by the chairperson of Unite against Corruption as well as a representative of the Right to Know campaign.

The march appears to be well organised and peaceful at this stage.

The protest, which is set to last until noon, comes after President Jacob Zuma’s sacking of Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene last week.
