Public meeting for Grant Avenue Precinct Plan

NORWOOD - The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA), on behalf of the City of Johannesburg, has appointed a multi-disciplinary consultant team to undertake the preparation of the Grant Avenue Precinct Plan.

The plan includes infrastructure improvements, parking solutions, and a whole new look for Grant Avenue.

All interested residents, local communities and local businesses are invited to attend a public meeting on Wednesday, 24 February at 5.30pm for 6pm until 8pm. The meeting will be held at Norwood Primary School, 57 Nellie Road.

The following matters will be addressed:

  • Introduction of the project
  • Purpose, brief and time frames
  • Introduction of the consultant project team
  • Public consultation process
  • Terms of reference for, and the establishment of, a Community Project Steering Committee.

Development facilitation manager from JDA, Matt Jackson said, “It is noted that the focus of this meeting is specifically for the Grant Avenue Precinct Plan project.

“Service delivery issues and general complaints will be referred to the relevant department and related contact numbers.”
