WATCH: Fallen tree causes havoc
PARKVIEW - A tree has fallen over on Lower Park Drive in Parkview causing mayhem, as the tree is blocking Upper Park Drive.
It is believed that the tree fell over on to the road from a complex on Lower Park Drive.
City Parks spokesperson Jenny Moodley confirmed that the protocol for an incident of this nature is to remove the tree from obstructing traffic and causing danger to pedestrians as quickly as possible.
“As the tree was on private property, City Parks would not be liable for the damage caused by the tree. The property owner would need to claim for damages from their personal insurance,” said Moodley.
